Things To Do Locally

There are many things to do in nearby towns at various times of the year as well as year 'round activities. And probably many things that we don't even know about yet because we are still fairly new to the area ourselves. So feel free to come and explore and let us know what you discover.
Probably the most well known thing about the area is Lake O' The Pines. It is located right here in Ore City , Texas.
There is also a new lake which was recently opened in Gilmer ,Texas , which is a hop ,skip and a jump from Ore City , called Gilmer Lake.
The next most well known activity is the yearly Yamboree. Yep , you read it right.
