~Keely~
As a baby , eating her baby food which is all over her and the couch and me too! She is all grown up now and loves to bite every person she can reach except me! Greys are typically one person birds. Not always , but usually.... Yep , she talks.
~Lucy~
This is our Mealy Amazon. She was given to us by her former 'mom and dad' because they were having another baby. As you can see , she loves to read and believes in good oral hygiene! She doesn't say many words , but we love her anyway. She says "HI!" really well but that is about it. She is really affectionate when she is in the mood and can be a real pest. She screams bloody murder when I go to another room where she can't see me. ( see note in green at the bottom of the page...)
Note: Not all African Greys talk , no matter what region they come from etc. Actually there is *NEVER* a guarantee that *ANY* bird will ever talk. Please do not purchase a bird just for it's supposed talking abilities. Purchase it as a pet like you would a dog or a cat , to be loved and cherished for what and who it is even without words. Let me also warn you before you spend hard earned money on a parrot that you will most likely never get 1/4 of what you paid out of should you tire of it...Parrots make noise and mess. LOTS AND LOTS of it!!! If you can not handle repetitious sounds that can shatter glass or drive a "saint" to want to scream and pull their hair out and if you want a spotless house , please , please , please do NOT buy a bird of ANY kind. Especially an Amazon or a Conure or a Cockatoo or Macaw.
